The Heritage & Arts Commission is pleased to be hosting a public reception for Barry Toranto on December 3, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. in the Community Room of the Town Hall, 1505 Tiburon Boulevard.

In a show entitled Reflections, the Mill Valley fine art photographer captures reflections from windows, making the photos look both inside and outside at the same time.  “Looking through glass is always surprising, and changing the camera angle changes the reflections as well as the shadows.”

Toranto’s show will hang in the Town Hall from December 2, through January 29, 2009.

The Heritage & Arts Commission is hosting the second in a series of Artist’s Laureate Workshops on Saturday, February 21st  from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Tiburon Town Hall.

Tiburon’s Artist Laureate Mary Musalo will help students find their creative self in this workshop entitled ‘Keep it Simple’ Part II: Finger painting with Acrylic Painting Medium.

Bring a painting smock or ‘painting clothes’, finger painting supplies will be provided. This workshop continues exploring your creative side: Increase your ability to visualize, find out what inspires, awakens the  ‘Artist Within’.  Ages 7 to 97  Welcome!.
