Adam Flowers, Tenor
Mr. Flowers recently created the role of Lt. Worthing in the World Premiere of Michael Taylor’s A Truce of Carols at Mission City Opera in Santa Clara, CA in December of 2009. Mr. Flowers also created the role of Paolo in Peter Josheff’s World Premiere of “Inferno: The Second Ring” for Goat Hall Productions in Berkeley, CA in June of 2009. He made his company debuts for Sacramento Opera as Rodolfo in La Boheme and Hoffmann The Tales of Hoffmann for Berkeley Opera in Winter/Spring of 2009. October 2008 found him at Houston’s Opera in the Heights as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly. In July 2008 he performed Alfredo in Verdi’s La Traviata at Musashino Kokkaido in Tokyo, Japan. He assayed Tybalt in Romeo et Juliette at Hawaii Opera Theatre in February 2008. Mr. Flowers sang Rodolfo in Opera Idaho’s production of La Boheme in October of 2007. In March of 2007 he performed Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte at Rimrock Opera. Mr. Flowers performed Macduff in Macbeth, Gherman in Tchaikovsky’s Pikovaya Dama and Camille in The Merry Widow at West Bay Opera in the 2006-07 season. In July of 2006 he completed a five year Artist-In-Residency for Opera San Jose, performing over 32 roles including Tamino, Nemorino and Faust.
In March of 2010, Mr. Flowers will perform the role of Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor for North Bay Opera in Fairfield, CA. May of 2010 finds Mr. Flowers in Oakland were he will perform the tenor solo in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony for The Oakland-East Bay Symphony under the baton of Michael Morgan and in July of 2010 he will perform the role of Cavaradossi in Tosca in Osaka, Japan.
Mr. Flowers completed his musical training at San Jose State University with Deborah Benedict.
