Google automatically opted users into Google Buzz that is the usual social networking disaster. “Followers”, “lists”, ridiculousness immediately started attaching to my account. For any and all who simply want to stay connected with contacts automatically without any social networking ridiculousness you can go here. I disabled Google Buzz while worrying I might have to delete my Gmail account.
I think Facebook and Twitter and others are going to experience significant user attrition (seeing it already) because the real horses are in now and there is no defensible technology at work in any of these applications and I think there’s a giant social networking correction coming soon that is good for the planet.
