We are looking for an experienced full-time (TEMP to PERM ) – Customer Service Representative & Business Office assistant to work with our Independent and Assisted Living residents and their families. This important multi-functional role will support the business office, customer service and sales goals of the community, while ensuring a smooth transition for our newest residents and families. You must possess a genuine interest for seniors while building trusting relationships with each resident, and their families while you learn their unique personalities.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Customer Service & Business Office assistant will work at the direction of the Executive Director, with support from cross functioning Departments as required to meet the changing business demands.
<br>

Essential Job Duties and Functions: (snap shot only)
<br>

<br>
• Hands on – collects rent and missed bills from residents in a professional, friendly and timely manner, following up with responsible parties to ensure monthly receipts are processed accurately. Interfaces with the home office as necessary to ensure all accounting questions for the community are answered as necessary, and is accountable for the smooth and accurate transition of customer move in /move out information.
<br>
• Hands on – further relations with the community by developing strong rapport with residents, and their families by responding to their questions timely and accurately. Utilizes key processes, resources and office skills to manage numerous inter-department communication tools, call light bell system and by researching information as needed.
<br>
• Hands on – utilizes excellent telephone skills answering multiple telephone lines, directing calls to appropriate departments, resolving all inquiries, taking meal orders, covering front desk shift schedules ensuring exemplary customer service support to our many residents, families and professionals visiting the community. Provides supervision to customer service staff as needed.
<br>
• Hands on – assist other departments with resident needs, and or marketing events supporting sales while promoting the community, including in house sales tours with prospective residents and their families.
<br>
• Hands on – must approach all encounters with residents, families, visiting professionals and associates in friendly, service oriented manner, interacting calmly and appropriately with difficult people.
<br>

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: (snap shot)

• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and a flexible schedule.
<br>
• Must possess patience, assertiveness, and diplomacy in working with others.
<br>
• Must be able to work well under stressful changing conditions with residents that may be confused and or demanding.
<br>
• Must have strong visual, audio and manual dexterity skills to detect changes in resident’s conditions and operate equipment.
<br>
• Must have strong computer skills in Office/Excel, excellent command of English skills verbal and written, with some College preferred.
