Vino Moda Save Angel Island Wine Festival 2010.

This turned out to be a wonderful wine festival. Despite the very long line early on, things seemed to work out very well. Most people showed up before the event started, but once they got under way with letting people in, the line moved swiftly.

There was plenty of wine through the day. Only a couple of vendors seemed to run out. Note to vendors: don’t ever let this happen.

The weather was amazing again this weekend. Thanks for letting it rain during the week between opening day and the wine festival!

Also, the oyster were really good. They’re the same oysters they serve at the cantina at Ayala Cove.

I’m not sure how much money was raised for the island, but I hope it was a lot. The island is definitely worth it!

Vino Moda – Angel Island wine festival

Vino Moda – Angel Island wine festival

Festival Overview

Angel Island State Park “The Jewel of San Francisco Bay” is threatened with closure due to a shortfall in revenue and the state deficit. Vino Moda and the Angel Island Wine Festival is asking Bay Area residents as well as visitors from California, the U.S., and the world to demonstrate how important parks are to our lives. When was the last time you visited Angel Island? Have you taken the tram ride, toured the island on a segway, bicycle, or by foot? Have you visited the Angel Island Immigration Station since the $15 million remodel just completed in February? You can take a ferry, dock your own boat, or paddle a kayak.
Wine Lovers show their support by attending the Angel Island Wine Festival at Camp Reynolds. This is undoubtedly the “world’s most beautiful wine festival” on the Angel Island shore with breathtaking views of Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco skyline, and Belvedere Island. Vino Moda has partnered with Angel Island State Parks and Angel Island Company among others.
