High surf pounded the Northern California coast on Wednesday morning as fog shrouded inland areas.Twelve- to 15-foot swells atop angry seas were reported at the “potato patch” at the lip of the Golden Gate, while higher than usual surf was expected up and down the coast through Wednesday afternoon.
