Assistant Restaurant Manager
Private athletic club in Southern Marin County is seeking a talented Assistant Restaurant Manager
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Maintain floor supervision and overall aspect of food and beverage service.
2. Assist in the acquiring, maintaining and execution of all events, club, private and caterings.
• Hire, train, supervise and hold accountable the Dining Room and Banquet staff for customer service standards as well as general food and beverage knowledge in relation to the operation.
• Assist with overall direction, coordination and ongoing evaluation of the Food & Beverage, club parties, events and banquet operations.
• Manage the FOH on a daily bases and act as MOD in the absence of the F&B Director
• Communicate pre-shift meetings as well as monthly departmental meetings to include but not limited to ongoing training, service standards, daily operational updates, menu items and specials, monthly safety training, etc.
Minimum qualifications:
• Candidate must be professional, organized, personable, enthusiastic and outgoing
• Enjoy being in a family environment with kids.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Basic computer literacy required and restaurant software knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills required.
• Flexible schedule for working extended hours, evenings and weekends required.
• Minimum 2 year’s club/hotel and restaurant experience
• Supervisory/management experience in a hospitality environment preferred.
